Camping

Here we are beside a babbling brook at Sakatah Lake State Park.  We're hiking a very rough trail from the camp sites to the boat landing.

As this is a "Celebrating September Birthdays" camping trip I brought a bag of chocolate cake mix.  Some one got the bright idea of putting cake mix in a waffle pie iron.  Voila!  Chocolate waffle!

When going camping it's good to make a list and remember important things such as corkscrews and rain tarps.  I forgot both.  We managed.

Scrambled eggs taste so good when cooked outside.

How much rain is too much rain when camping for a weekend?  How about a gallon sized puddle inside the tent?  Would that be too much rain?  We're troopers.  A rainstorm, thunder and lightning doesn't stop our fun.  The weather made our fun a little damp though.

The tent goes up much faster the second time.
Delicious orange infused chocolate camping birthday cake.
