OMG Sue! That was hilarious lol
I love your energy level. I needed a good laugh this morning because things aren't falling into place like I expected. I guess I shouldn't rely on what I'm told. I'm too trustworthy.
So many things are taking time after Don's death. Still don't have his death certificate to show as proof to places requiring it. I lost all his benefits until then but since I'm still in AZ it's going to take 4 to 5 days to get to me because funds will be by check and not direct deposit. I said nothing has changed with my deposit account but they all have procedures. I just can't believe Don is gone. Being diagnosed in November and gone by Feb 9th is insane. I don't like being alone at all. Nights are tough for me. I wake up at the time he took his last breath often. I hope that stops real soon. We had a Celebration of His Life on our 50th Anniversary date Feb 24th. It was held at our clubhouse. It was an awesome filled day with so many residents from our park and family members attending. All my family has left except Staci and Emilee are still with me a couple more days. I will really be alone then. My friends here have been absolutely amazing as soon as Don and I got here on Jan 3rd. They all knew I took Don to the ER on the morning of the 4th that turned out to be another bout of pneumonia and he was hospitalized for 4 days. 6 or 7 ladies came to my house and cleaned it spotless and stocked the fridge with groceries. Got our tv set up with our Dish Network receiver box, the van was unpacked, yard work was done, and the list goes on and on. We were both so very overwhelmed. The generosity just was non stop. People came over to visit Don during his hospice period. Both Tim and Staci came for a few days while he was hospitalized again mid January for 12 days. We got the fatal news that treatment wouldn't be taking place because Don was just too weak and Hospice was our only choice. It sure wasn't what I expected at all. Don was robbed of Arizona this winter being so sick. This is the place he wanted to be so I'm glad his wishes came through to the end of his life. Our adopted daughter from our lake area was with me when he passed. My sister and brother in law came over right away and my sister stayed the night and several nights with me. Kari was the daughter of 2 people we met in 2002 when we started camping at Fisher's Resort. Both parents passed close in dates and Don and I told her she could be part of our family. 6 years ago we were honored to walk her down the isle at her 2nd wedding. She wasn't able to come for our anniversary but we had quality time together when she was here. I plan on staying in Mesa until the end of March or 1st week of April. I'm going to caravan with a couple from Plymouth. I'm hoping to some day be able to fly back and forth because I don't care for the long days traveling 3 days compared to 3 hours. I will be facing arranging a memorial and burial when I get back. Don and I talked about his wishes but I need to figure out a final place to lay him to rest. Thinking of maybe in Paynesville and not Ham Lake. I am more than likely going to sell the house because I definitely don't need to manage 3 places. 2 are plenty. Lots of decisions need to be made. I'm glad I have Tim and Staci to help me. Take care my friend. Hopefully I will get a chance to see you on my return. I am deciding whether to continue working or just enjoy my time fully at the lake. I miss the 8 guys so much so I will probably continue working with them. St. David's has been so accommodating and I know I'll be able to get shifts like I have in the past. Have a great upcoming weekend. Love n hugs
Dianne - let me know if you need me to fly down there. There are flights out of the Saint Cloud airport. Love n hugs to you too my birthday friend. You can do this.
