Bog Visit

Today I visited the Sax Zim bog. At a bird feeder at the Visitor Center I saw some Pine Grossbeaks, Black Capped Chickadees, Crows and Gray Jays.

The Pine Grossbeaks are very colorful. I went driving around the bog looking for owls. The drive was very peaceful. I had a map from my last visit in the summer. At Larry's feeders I saw Redpolls eating from a thistle feeder. I might have had better luck seeing owls if I stayed until dusk but my car was low on gas and I felt the need to get to a gas station before dark.
