Aimee Nezhukumatathil is the author of World Of Wonders: In Praise Of Fireflies, Nurse Sharks, And Other Astonishments. This is a series of essays about nature, human behavior, beauty and kinship. Aimee grew up in Kansas in a mental institution where her mother was a physician. Later they lived in Arizona where she hiked with her father. Later they lived in Ohio and New York. Married now, and with two children of her own, she lives in Mississippi and her parents are retired and living in Florida. I liked this book about nature and natural curiosities.
