Julie Clark is the author of The Last Flight, a fiction novel set in Manhattan and San Francisco. Claire lives in Manhattan with her wealthy political husband. She wants to leave him because he is hot tempered and physically abusive. Eva lives in San Francisco alone in a small house. She wants to leave town because her drug contact is putting her life in danger. Eva and Claire happen to meet at the JFK airport and start talking.
