Today at noon I attended a no kings rally here in Winona. Three people spoke for about 15 minutes. Then the protestors stood on the edge of the park along Broadway. Many cars and trucks honked in agreement. Some of the protestors had some great signs. One guy had photos of Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, and Kim John Un indicating who liked military parades. One held a sign that said "The Emperor Has No Clothes." I have had that in my mind for many years now. The protest was peaceful. I felt good seeing all these people join together. This afternoon I traveled to Wabasha to see a driftless water dance group perform. The performance was at the National Eagle Center amphitheater. Four dancers entertained the crowd while a videographer and a drone took photos. The dance was entertaining. I remember when I could run and jump and leap off the stairs. Those days are gone for me.
