Danger! Danger!

I thought I was being paranoid about that birdhouse gourd vine. Surely it can't be dangerous or carnivorous.  If it was carnivorous surely there would have been a warning on the seed packet. (Don't call me Shirley!)

The fact that vines that are cut off continue to grow and flower in the sod without roots doesn't mean it's dangerous, or does it?

Help! Send help immediately! It's got me!
