I am a big fan of Ann Tyler's writing so I was happy when one of her audio books became available on my Libby app. Noah's Compass is a wonderful story about a man moving to a new apartment. His friend and his daughter's boyfriend help him move his belongings. His sister calls on moving day and tells him to make his bed right away. She was right because he got tired fast. He goes to sleep in his bed and wakes up in the hospital. An intruder broke into his patio door and beat him about the head. The poor guy was a teacher who was forced to retire at age 61. He is just trying to adapt to what life throws his way. The story is humorous and compassionate.
