Today I did something for the first time. For years I have listened to friends who get to pick up their grandchildren from school at the end of the day. Today was my time. After a note was written to the teachers and I had two cards with student numbers in my hand, I waited on the sidewalk for my grandgirls to come out. Together we walked the 20 minute walk back to the house. I got to hear about their school day before anyone else. What a delectable treat!
