I read Amanda Jones' book, That Librarian: The Fight Against Book Burning In America. Amanda is a school librarian in Louisiana. She advocates for inclusiveness. When she realized that in 2022 there was a public meeting about book content, she attended the meeting and spoke up for keeping LGTQ books in the library. The very next day her life fell apart. Two men from a different parish lied about what she said in that meeting. She got death threats and nasty emails and attacks from strangers and friends. She sued her harassers for defamation. Although her mental health suffered, her marriage suffered, her child suffered she kept going strong. Kudos to Amanda Jones!
