Tanya Talaga is the author of the non-fiction book called All Our Relations. She writes about the suicide rates of indigenous people from Canada, the Unites States, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The similarities are striking. Being an indigenous person in modern times is tough because they are expected to assimilate, to give up their practices and culture and language and traditions. Also, they lack access to proper food and health care and education. This book is a call to action.
