Art Center

Today I was going to meet a friend for coffee at 2 p.m. I decided to walk the 1.6 miles to the coffee shop. Close to my hotel is the Le Duc Mansion. The mansion is closed for the season. They are having a tea on the weekends but the tea costs fifty bucks and I don't like tea that much.

The mansion has a big yard and a community garden.

This is the art center. The center opens at 3 so I went there after our coffee. Inside they offer musical classes and art classes. I got to play the harp which was fun. Next week they are offering a coffee session with a local writer but I have a doctor appointment that day so I can't go. My friend gave me good directions to the bison area so I will go there tomorrow.

We had a good talk, my friend and I. She was glad I reached out to her. I was glad too. She told me about her boys who are both in college now. She worries about them. That is what mothers do. We worry.

The art center is having a private event tomorrow. I wish I could go.
