Shaar Bluff

When I left my place this morning the temperature was 35 degrees. I drove 5 miles to Spring Lake Park Reserve outside of Hastings, MN. This is Shaar Bluff when my walk began. This land was donated by a farming family in 1972. Off in the distance I can see Cottage Grove.

I was texting with a friend who lives in Isanti. She said a snow squall was headed my way. I decided to head to the local library. Hastings has a nice library. They even have 2 sewing machines you can use. For more than the past year I have been writing and rewriting an essay about my paternal aunt Marie. I printed the essays at the library in NE Minneapolis. Today I addressed the envelopes and mailed the essay off to family members. I got to the Post Office only 15 minutes before they closed.

As part of this park, there is an area that has bison. I drove around looking for bison and could not find them. Instead I found 3 Sasquatch wearing safety vests.
