Dude! Wrong Way!

Yesterday was a beautiful day to visit Hawk Ridge. Hawks are migrating like crazy because the day is sunny. Yesterday, in the fog and drizzle, hardly any hawks left town. Here is a beautiful turkey vulture floating like a tippy black bird.

This little frequent flyer is not a hawk but this chickadee has the attitude of a hawk.

We let him go out of the mist net and he immediately flew right back in! Dude! Wrong way peach fuzz! We had to walk away from the net and let him go again. I love a spunky chickadee!
